TriMet Gets Tough on Fare Jumpers
If a TriMet fare inspector caught you riding the Max train without a ticket any time during the last five years, your punishment likely was a warning. But from now on, even if you're a first-time offender, you risk a fine of at least $175. Or you could be banned from the service for 30 to 90 days. East Portland Exposition, the City's Largest Multicultural Event
Two thousand turned out for the East Portland Exposition July 23-24, held at the Ed Benedict Community Park at Southeast Powell at 102nd Avenue. Co-sponsored by the Colored Pencils Art and Culture Council, it was billed as the largest multicultural event in Portland.
