Fashion designer Ken Doswell and head seamstress Lyubov Medevedeva of Betty Jean Couture make some finishing touches on a sequined dress modeled by Alexa Stevens for the upcoming Flurry Fashion Show on Saturday Dec. 4th at 6 p.m. at 720 S.W. Yamhill St.
Flurry, Portland's newest fashion and design collaborative, features classic-inspired clothing and accessories with a modern twist. The show features top local designers from fashion houses Betty Jean Couture, Lizzie Parker, Alisha Wood and Michelle DeCourcy.

The event's theme is "Fashion and Film" and will feature a showing of "Valentino: The Last Emporer," a film about Italian designer Valentino Garavani.

Enjoy food, wine, live music and meet local designers and experience first-hand high quality custom tailored clothing.

Doswell, owner and founder of Betty Jean Couture, is preparing a number of evening dresses, coats and jackets, inspired by this season's hottest fashion trends. But Droswell says he always designs clothes to surpass the seasonal trends. He wants clothing to be able to be worn and enjoyed from year to year. Although Betty Jean Couture specializes in plus-size fashion, he says they have a number of items for slim fits.
