Portland Rose Festival 2024 Court Member from Sherwood Announced

The Rose Festival Princess from Sherwood High School is Amelia Godard representing Metro West.  

On March 11, Amelia Godard was named a princess of this year's court. Amelia is a senior at Sherwood High School and expects to graduate this June. After graduation, Amelia will pursue a degree in business management on the way to owning a business.  

Amelia joins the court representing herself, her school, and her community. She says, “I am inspired to make an impact on society and a positive difference in my community. I believe being a member of the Rose Festival Court will provide the platform and opportunity to portray my gratitude in representation of the Sherwood community.” 

Looking ahead to the Portland Rose Festival, Amelia’s favorite event of the season since childhood is the Fred Meyer Junior Parade. “When I was a little girl, my family would meet at another family’s house to sit along the parade route and immerse ourselves in the parade as it passed by. It was so wonderful to enjoy a parade that was focused entirely on kids and their interests, music, heroes, and superstars.”
