If you are a Seattle-are high school junior or senior, and you are preparing to attend college --any college, are invited to take part in the YMCA Black Achievers/UNCF Portfolio Project. This completely free nine- week project (scheduled on Saturday's only) offers participants coaching in resume writing, personal statement development, understanding the Financial Aid application, test taking skills for SAT, letters of recommendations, and much more. The portfolio you create during these sessions will be your greatest resource when applying for colleges and all kinds of scholarship opportunities.
Each student will be assigned to a mentor provided for the benefit of direct guidance and assistance in completing the portfolio.
