Pass the Stimulus
Dear Editor;
How exciting is this; in office just over a week and President Obama has introduced a bill to create, over the next two years, 3 to 4 million jobs. And healthcare for the unemployed. And green jobs.
Let's pass this legislation please; can we really afford 11 percent unemployment? The highest level since the Great Depression?

Stimulus Will Create Jobs
Dear Editor;
The Economic Stimulus Bill is a very, very good bill right now.
Here is what the bill really does:
• Creates or saves 3 million to 4 million BADLY-NEEDED jobs in the next two years.
• Averts literally hundreds of thousands of teacher layoffs and doubles funding for the Department of Education, thus educating kids instead of incarcerating them later as adults.
• Creates hundreds of thousands of green jobs and doubles our clean energy production, thus moving towards energy independence.
• Immediately gives unemployed folks access to affordable health care coverage. Anyone here know what individual health plans cost when you're unemployed?
We're headed for the "Great Bush Depression" unless we get this bill passed quickly. Even then, we might still be in hot water for another 18 months. Without it, it will be the beginning of the end for America as the world's single superpower.
