Activists protesting two recent police shootings turned violent in downtown Portland Monday night. Police say they arrested eight people for crimes that included disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and riot. Many supporters turned up to demonstrate peacefully without using confrontation or violence.
Although three officers were injured, police say they are still investigating those incidents for possible future arrests. A report was made of broken windows at the Bank of America at 1001 SW 5th Ave. and other various property damage was reported.
