Three shootings this weekend injured three men. Police say they reflect growing gang activity. A fourth shooting which resulted in no injuries was said to be unrelated.

The first shooting occurred at 5:25 pm Friday May 20, around North Fiske Avenue and North McCoy Court, near North Houghton Street and Druid Avenue.

Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct and the Gang Enforcement Team responded and spoke with several witnesses who said that one young man shot at another young man and both people ran away in different directions. Both were described as black male teens.

The second shooting occurred Saturday May 21 at around 10:42 p.m., Officers responded to reports of shots fired in Raymond Park, located in the 11800 block of Southeast Liebe Street. A 16-year-old male was taken to hospital suffering from a single gunshot to the right leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect is described as a black male teen wearing a red hat.

On Sunday May 22, at approximately 2:08 a.m., police officers responded to the report of shots fired inside the Interstate Bar and Grill, located at North Interstate and Skidmore.

They found a 32-year-old male gunshot victim at the scene, suffering from two gunshot wounds, one to the abdomen and one to the leg. This victim was transported to an area hospital. Initial reports are that both wounds are non-life-threatening.

A second gunshot victim walked into a local hospital. This victim, a 25-year-old male, was shot once in his right leg. His injury is not life threatening.

At around  7:39 am Saturday, police responded to a report of gunshots fired near the 1400 block of Southeast Burnside Street. There were no injuries as a result of the shooting and the suspect fled the area.
