Services for Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church founding member, First Lady Willia I. 'Madam' Williams, are April 11, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Viewing is from 4 to 4:45 p.m., with Pastor J.W. Matt Hennessee, presiding. There will be speakers, personal reflections and a choir performance.
The funeral service is April 12 at 10 a.m., at the church, Dr. Raymond H. Edwards Sr., presiding. Viewing begins at 9:45 a.m.
Mrs. Williams was the widow of Vancouver Avenue founding pastor Dr. O.B. Williams, and was an historic figure over the past 60 years in Northeast Portland.
Together the Williams welcomed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Portland and presided over the birth of one of the community's most dynamic church communities and shepherded its growth for generations.
Remembrances may be sent to Skyline Mortuary, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd.
