Just in time for the start of summer, Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) is opening its seven outdoor pools on Monday, June 22.

The outdoor pools, which will be open through August, include Creston Pool, Grant Pool, Montavilla Pool, Peninsula Pool, Pier Pool, Sellwood Pool, and Wilson Pool.

In addition, PP&R operates six indoor year-round pools: Buckman Pool, Columbia Pool, East Portland Community Center, Matt Dishman Community Center, Mt. Scott Community Center, and Southwest Community Center.

 - Free Learn to Swim Week June 22-26 -

PP&R starts the summer with its traditional five days of free swim lessons. To register, visit your neighborhood pool on Saturday, June 20, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. No online registration is available for Learn to Swim week – you must register in person.

As part of its "Summer Free for All," PP&R will also be offering several free open play swim times throughout the summer. In addition, Teen Swim Summer Kick-Off Parties will be held at four outdoor pools in late June.
