Effective July 1, Ben Berry became board chair of LifeWorks NW,  mental health services

LifeWorks NW, non-profit provider of mental health and addiction services throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clatsop counties, announced today that it has elected its 2008-2009 officers on the board of directors.
Effective July 1, Ben Berry, Oregon Department of Transportation became board chair, Keith White, NW Natural became vice chair, Nancy Bryant, community volunteer became secretary, Ron Basile of Columbia Sportswear remained as treasurer, and Scott Andrews of Melvin Mark Properties became officer-at-large. Dotti Cowart, community volunteer became past chair while Ed Washington became emeritus.
"I truly believe we all show up in life on a mission that only we can achieve.   If we act on it, then the world will be a better place and we will all benefit.  As Board Chair, I hope to bring together my life's mission and that of LifeWorks NW – to support and strengthen community mental health and addiction services.  I hope many will join me in this noble cause," said Ben Berry, LifeWorks NW new board chair.
Berry, who lives in Lake Oswego, is chief information officer for the Oregon Department of Transportation, and has served on the board of directors for St. Andrew Nativity School, the Software Association of Oregon and the "Live Your Dream" Foundation.
White, who lives in Beaverton, is vice president of business development and energy supply for NW Natural. He is an avid art lover in his spare time and continues a life-long journey of learning about mental health issues and solutions.
