The Berkeley-Stanford Clean Tech Conference was founded in 2007 as a continuing series of focused conferences highlighting clean technology solutions for global warming.  The conference also fosters collaboration between policy makers, industry leaders and academia. Student support from UC Berkeley Center for Energy & Environmental Innovation, the Berkeley Energy Resources Collaborative (BERC), and Stanford University Energy Crossroads has made this event possible.
BERC, an interdisciplinary, student-run, organization at UC Berkeley was founded, in 2005, to enhance interdepartmental collaboration on energy issues; serving as a bridge between the university and the private sector.
