On June 8, 2018, the Royal Rosarians gathered in Peninsula Park Rose Garden to bestow honorary knighthood upon dignitaries from other cities as well as those from the Portland area. Among those honored were Portland Police Chief Danielle Outlaw, Portland Schools Superintendent Guadalupe Guerrero, Gresham Fire Chief Greg Matthews, and "Little People, Big World" star Amy Roloff.

The Royal Rosarians identify as the "official greeters and ambassadors" of Portland, Oregon, and are most visible during the Portland Rose Festival. Since the Rosarians formed in 1912, persons of accomplishment from around the world have been granted honorary knighthood in an annual ceremony.
