The American Red Cross is looking for "everyday heroes" from your community. Do you know someone who performed life-saving CPR, pulled a person from a burning building or raised money to help someone in need? A real, local hero.
If so, you can help the American Red Cross recognize these extraordinary people by nominating your hero.
The Red Cross will honor the heroes at the 12th annual Heroes Breakfast on April 10, 2008. Each year the Red Cross presents its "Everyday People, Everyday Heroes" awards is several categories such as Fire, Police, Workplace Safety, Adult & Youth Good Samaritan, as well as Nature and Medical Rescue.
The nominee must be a resident, or employed within, King County or the heroic act must have occurred in King County. The heroic act must be ongoing or have occurred between Aug. 1, 2006 and Nov. 31, 2007.
Proceeds from the Heroes Breakfast support disaster relief efforts in King County.
