"Ashes to Beauty — Living in Your Potential!" is a motivational summit for women and teenage girls to be held Aug. 18 and 19 at Emmanuel Temple Church.
Workshops will cover topics including "If you can Dream It, You Can Become It" and "Becoming the Woman You Want to Be."
Music will be provided by the Ashes to Beauty multicultural women's choir.
The keynoter for both days is motivational speaker, recording artist and author Kitty Griffin of Sacramento, Calif. Also speaking will be Pastor Julia Neufield, Mother Gail Johnson, Supervisor Charlotte Brandon, Pastor Jean Pollard and Dr. Judy Peabody.
The cost for the summit, which will be at Emmanuel Temple Church, 1033 N. Sumner St., is $35 for adults and $20 for teens ages 13 through 18. For more information and directions on how to register, call 503-287-1937.
