Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will give the keynote address at the Muddy Boot Organic Festival, which runs Sept. 8 though 10 in St. Philip Neri Church, 2408 S.E. 16th Ave.
The son of the late U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is an environmental activist and the author of "Our Environmental Destiny." His presentation will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8. Tickets are available for $45 each and allows admittance to the presentation and the book-signing that will follow. Refreshments will be provided following the presentation.
The Muddy Boot Organic Festival will celebrate sustainable and organic living in the community.

The festival will continue on Sept. 9 and 10, featuring live music provided by the Freak Mountain Ramblers, Jack Straw, Brenda Weiler, the Pete Krebs Gypsy Jazz Trio and Little Sue; organic foods and beverages; information booths; educational workshops; and walking tours of local sustainable projects.
The event's goal is to promote the spirit of sustainable living to people of all backgrounds and experiences by becoming aware about how everyday choices and actions affect the very earth that gives life.
