Formerly known as the Northwest Film Center, PAM CUT // Center for an Untold Tomorrow continues the Portland tradition of watching a film under the stars, and makes it a little extra, with thematic and experiential surprises like Bollywood and ballroom dance lessons, slime-making with the Portland Ghostbusters, Glam night, and more.

PAM CUT’s Cinema Unbound Outdoor Movies series continues through July 31. PAM CUT will again take over the riverfront parking lot of the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI) with food and beverages and some of the most outrageous cult movies, classic cinema, and family favorites. The series is outdoor and bring-your-own-chair, with theme food, drink and pre-show activities galore. Short films preceding each feature will showcase local filmmaking. Plus, each ticketholder will receive one free admission to the Portland Art Museum.

“Summertime is already magical, but we want to get folks out of the house and in the mood for some seriously fun social cinema,” said PAM CUT Director Amy Dotson. “Whether it’s date night, a rockin’ evening out with friends, or fun for the whole family, these participatory, experiential nights will all be unique, one-time-only cinematic experiences to remember.”

Tickets

Tickets are available at pamcut.org. A single ticket is $20, or buy a pair of premium seats for $75 that include 4 drink tickets and premium seating for two people. PAM/PAM CUT members, students, and seniors receive a $5 discount. Doors open and music begins at 8 p.m.

Show your movie ticket at the Museum box office to receive one free admission per ticket, through August 31, 2022. Youth ages 17 and under always visit the Museum for free.

Exhibit features local BIPOC photographers

Admission includes access to the Museum's special exhibition Perspectives (opening July 16), a powerful showcase of works by local BIPOC photographers made during Portland's Black Lives Matter protests in 2020.
