Mayor Ted Wheeler and Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty invite the public to share their thoughts on the proposed changes to the union contract between the City and Portland Police Association (PPA). This listening session will be facilitated by the city’s office of equity and human rights.

On February 4, the lead negotiators for the City of Portland and the PPA reached a tentative agreement on the Police union contract. The contract will be voted on by the city council on Thursday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m.

The mayor and Hardesty want to hear from the public prior to the vote. While they will not able to make specific comments or responses about the contract terms before the vote, they will consider the input and opinions of the public.
