The Black Resilience Fund is a local emergency fund dedicated to healing and resilience by providing immediate resources to Black Portlanders. More than $1.5 million dollars has been raised by more than 15,000 Portlanders since the fund began on June 1, 2020, as a response to George Floyd’s death, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Black Resilience Fund reached out to Community Warehouse to obtain needed furnishings. Community Warehouse’s mission is to redistribute donated household items to people who need them. More than 200 social service agencies partner with the organization to help people such as refugees, domestic violence survivors, and victims of disasters, such as house fires.
