Throughout August, Sunday Parkways has been celebrating food and the role it plays as fuel, a community connector, and a cultural ambassador. Every Monday and Wednesday at noon they host a cooking class series called “Lunch with Sunday Parkways.”

This Wednesday, Sunday Parkways will be partnering with Chef James Bradley from Po’Shines Café De La Soul for Teach Me to Fish, a class on preparing vegan and vegetarian food with a Southern spin. In this lesson, Chef James will teach attendees how to make Eggplant Parmesan with vegan dirty rice. Join the live class for free on the Portland Sunday Parkways Facebook page on Wednesday, August 19, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Kaiser Permanente’s Executive Chef Greg Gates is also teaming up with Portland Sunday Parkways to roll out a virtual recipe book. Attend the Food & Mood webinar hosted by Kaiser Permanente on Aug. 28 to be the first to receive this new release.

Available for viewing, are videos of other cooking classes held this month including Zoodlemania with Chef Jacobsen Valentine, the founder and executive director of Feed the Mass, and Cook with What You Have with Katherine Deumling.
