Applications Open for Youth Roving Reporters Program

Youth Roving Reporters is a free arts journalism mentorship program open to Oregon and SW Washington youth, ages 15-21. All Classical Portland will host Youth Roving Reporters on-air, providing them with insight on what it is to be a broadcaster working in community arts programming. The goal is to award scholarships to youth from regions across the entire state, providing equal opportunity to youth in rural areas as well as the Portland metro area.  Youth Roving Reporters will:

• Receive free tickets to an arts event
• Interview artists/musicians
• Learn how to edit interviews
• Develop creative writing skills
• Have their segments broadcast on-air

Program Duration: 

9 months (September 2018 - May 2019)
