Amanda Dollente, left, and Kelly Middleton, were the first couple in line on Dec. 5 to get a marriage license.  At midnight on the 6th, marriage licenses were issued to gay couples for the first time in Washington State.

Dan Savage records history being made as the first gay couples received their wedding licenses. Savage is a well known gay rights activist in Seattle.
