Three minority-owned businesses have moved to the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Alberta in the newly constructed Alberta Commons Building that currently houses Natural Grocers and Wingstop.

The Alberta Commons project is situated at 5015 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, and the event specifically honored the project's three newest businesses, all owned by people of color: Cason’s Fine Meats, Champions Barbershop, and greenHAUS Gallery + Boutique.

Champions Barbershop opened April 20, greenHAUS gallery opened in May and Cason’s Fine Meats opened at the new location in June.

The Alberta Commons grand opening celebration was held on July 20.
