Oregon State Police will be accepting applications to hire entry level recruits for trooper positions, starting April 29, 2013. Interested applicants can apply through State of Oregon's E-Recruit electronic application system. Many long-time troopers have retired over the last few years, leaving vacancies for new troopers.
Visit the Oregon State Police recruiting website at www.osptrooper.com to find out more about the application process and what it takes to successfully apply.

All applicants must take an entry test, scheduled June 8 - 9 at the Oregon Public Safety Academy in Salem.

Getting in is not easy, so applicants need to prepare in advance. About half of all previous applicants failed the physical fitness portion of the entry level testing process. Check the website to see the standards for your age and gender. The website also has sample questions and videos that show how to deal with test questions.  www.osptrooper.com.

The Oregon State Police is an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourages women and minorities to apply.
Questions about the application process can be directed to the OSP Recruitment Unit at (503) 378-4175.
