Renowned poet and autobiographer Dr. Maya Angelou will be speaking in Portland on June 2 and The Skanner News is giving away six pairs of tickets to the event.

The author of "Why the Caged Bird Sings" and other works will be at the Schnitzer Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Answer the following questions about stories that have run on our website:
• In the article "Funeral Director to Hold Fund-Raiser Saturday" by Brian Stimson (under Northwest News) what was the name of the reverend who organized the musical celebration for Jerome Cox-Tanner?
• In the article "Mental Health Survivor Releases Spoken Word CD" by Lisa Loving (under Latest News) what is the name of the album Tyrone Waters recently released?

The first six people to email the correct answers to mailto:frontdesk@theskanner.com will win a pair of tickets. Emails should use the subject header reading "Maya Angelou Contest." Please include your name and phone number. Winners will be notified and names posted on The Skanner.com. Winners must be able to pick up their tickets in person at The Skanner News Office, 415 N. Killingsworth St. in Portland during business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) on either Tuesday, June 1 or Wednesday, June 2.
