On March 30, Self Enhancement, INC. (SEI) will host a grand reopening at The Center for Self Enhancement to unveil changes and a permanent space in the library dedicated to Mitchell S. Jackson.

Jackson is an SEI alumnus, acclaimed author, Whiting Award recipient, and the winner of the Ernest J. Gaines Prize for Literary Excellence. He is also a philanthropist whose support has made the SEI library renovations possible.

For the past 38 years, SEI has been dedicated to providing a clear understanding of African American history to shape the future of young men and women in Portland, Oregon.
