PRESIDENT

At a time when our democracy is being threatened, our military families vilified, white supremacy groups praised, voting rights challenged, a pandemic denied and America's reputation abroad declining, we must elect a president who takes these concerns seriously and will work to restore faith in our government. That person is Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden is our choice because of: his integrity and moral values, his ability to relate to people who hold different views, his support of the Affordable Health Care Act, which is so vital to Americans, his commitment to straight-talk about the coronavirus pandemic, his ability to unite our country, his ability to maintain alliances with world leaders, and his vision and concrete plans to combat climate change. Biden supports the right to free speech for all Americans. In America people who peacefully protest injustice should not have to fear injury or death by the police.

We can count on Biden to be a president we can be proud of, rather than one we have to apologize for. We need a president who has a plan that is articulated to all Americans, a plan that unites this country. Biden is that person.

(AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)With the strong, proven leadership of sen. Kamala Harris, his running mate for vice president, we can look forward to a team that will embody the values that we, Americans, hold dear. We will have an administration that respects human dignity and honors our democracy. Harris has been on the frontline on all the issues Americans value, especially civil, women’s, and gay rights, and will continue to fight for the rights of all people. As a woman of color, she has unique insight into the needs and rights of minority citizens.

Biden/Harris is a team America needs to restore respect and honor at home and abroad. They will tell the truth and promote peace, not chaos, dialogue, not diatribe, unity not discord.

Even now, Republicans are lying to Americans saying they support social security and medicare as well as Obamacare. We know this is happening because the polls show Americans have rejected their arguments against these issues. They have repeatedly stated their intention to privatize social security and gut Obamacare. That plan has not changed.

Joe Biden is the president we need at this time in history. He is the moderating voice and has the vision and leadership this country needs.
