Federal Fiscal Years 2019-2021 DBE Goal


King County hereby gives notice of its proposed Triennial DBE goal for utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) for the Federal Fiscal Years 2019, 2020, and 2021, pursuant to 49 CFR, Part 26, United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Regulations.

Triennial DBE Goal of 15%

The goal will apply to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) assisted contracts awarded by King County in Federal Fiscal Years (FFY) 2019, 2020, and 2021. King County is now soliciting comments from the public on its proposed 15% Triennial DBE Goal for FAA assisted projects.

King County’s Triennial DBE Goal for the period FFY 2019 through 2021, and the rationale for the proposed goal percentage are available for inspection at the following location: King County Chinook Building Third Floor, 401 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104.

These documents are available for review during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.) for a period of thirty (30) days following the date of this notice. The Business Development and Contract Compliance Section will accept public comments on the proposed triennial 15% Overall DBE Utilization Goal for forty five (45) days after the date of this notice.

Ad Deadline: Print Ads must be ordered and paid for by 1:00 p.m. on Monday in order to make the deadline each week. The Skanner News comes out on Wednesdays. Ads in will run through the following Wednesday.

Print Image Quality Specs: For print ads requiring an image, please submit the image in as high-res as you can to Jerry Forster at Advertising@TheSkanner.com. We recommend at least 300dpi for best results in the printed newspaper.


Online Image Quality Specs: For web-based ads, we recommend at least 72dpi for best viewing. Images and logos will be sized according to editorial discretion, based on the image orientation (width, height, etc.).

Online Ads will run seven days from first posting (although, 2, 3 and 4 week durations are available).

Image Format: For web, we recommend JPG format, although GIF or PNG may also be acceptable.

Payment Options: The Skanner News accepts PayPal for ads placed online. To pay for ads via other means (checks, credit cards, etc.), please contact accounting@theskanner.com.

Ad Costs: To calculate the cost of your ad, please visit and fill out our online classified advertising form. There you can calculate your ad cost, and will be presented with a PayPal link to make Payment once you're satisfied.
