Get Involved: The Urban League's New Garden Project

The Urban League of Portland and the African Women's Coalition kicked off their Urban Harvest Garden in North Portland on February 26, 2011, with a work party to prepare the garden plot: building raised-garden beds, laying compost and preparing for planting. Check it out on the Skanner’s You Tube Video Channel. http://bit.ly/dKCfzU The Urban Harvest Garden is located on the Northeast corner at the intersection of N. Albina Ave and N Beech St in North Portland. Goal is to inspire our community through healthy eating and active living. The Urban Harvest Garden will provide 30 African and African American families in the neighborhood with fresh vegetables through the upcoming growing season. For more information on the garden please contact Inger at 503-280-260
