The Wake of Vanport oral history
Anna Haupt and Terese Alstin

Two Swedish women have developed a new type of bike helmet that doesn’t involve strapping a plastic shell around your head. The Hovding helmet could transform the way we see bicycle safety. Anna Haupt and Terese Alstin, who were students of Industrial Design at the University of Lund, spent seven years trying to develop a helmet everyone would be glad to wear. The helmet is being developed with airbag manufacturer, Alva.
