Such Combinations Are Commonplace and Occur Every Year
Published: 31 May 2012

This popular Email chain letter is a Hoax "This is the only time we will see and live this event: June 2012 has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays. This happens only once every 823 years. This is called money bags so forward this to your friends and money will arrive within 4 days. Based on Chinese philosophy of Feng Shui"

Firstly it is utter nonsense because the month of June always has 30 days not 31.

Secondly any month that has 31 days will have three consecutive days that occur five times in the month. Any month with 31 days and begins on a Friday will have 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays. Hence a month that contains 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays occurs nearly every year e.g., October 2010, July 2011, March 2013, July 2016.

Thirdly such combinations are commonplace and occur every year, certainly not just once in 823 years as claimed. Figure it out: every year has 7 months with 31 days. So each of those 7 months has three days that must repeat 5 times. There are 7 different days a month can start on, so on average, over time, each combination happens once yearly.

Fourthly none of this gobbledygook bears any resemblance to any form of mysticism. Forwarding woo-woo messages doesn't confer magical powers on any forwarder.
