Department of Justice Shuts Down Websites Illegally Streaming Live Sports Telecasts

During operation "Fake Sweep" the US Department of Justice shut down sixteen websites that were illegally streaming live sporting telecasts over the Internet, including NFL games.
ICE stated they also closed 291 website for illegally selling and distributing counterfeit merchandise. They used Paypal accounts and Chinese banks in their schemes.
During this sweep law enforcement seized fake jerseys, ball caps, T-shirts, jackets and counterfeit goods representing NFL, Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Hockey and other sports leagues.
This operation seized 65,262 items worth $6.4 million.
Not long ago ICE seized 307 websites and 42,692 items of phony Super Bowl-related memorabilia worth more than $4.8 million.
