Portland State University's Black Studies Department will be holding a free forum on "Civil Rights in Portland: Leadership and Community Building" on Thursday, March 11.
In conjunction with the History Department and the PSU Library, the forum will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in room 218 of the Ondine Building, 1912 SW 6th Ave. between Hall and College.
The slide show and student presentations that will be shown are the culmination of a semester's worth of research by students of Avel Gordly and Patricia Schechter's community-based research course. A public discussion session will follow the presentations. The public is invited to attend.
