With the help of Vernon SUN school children Mackenzie Fetsch, Shaheed Muhammad, Tremane Salazar, and Taiylor Yarbrough— artists finished a mural project July 7. The Old Glory created by muralist, painter and children's book writer/illustrator—Addie Boswell—salutes a global village. Volunteer artists Emily Tarleton and Karlene Lusby also helped.  The painting's one-world theme is in keeping with Vernon's prospective International Baccalaureate Programme.  This mural was coordinated as a community engagement project by the school's  2008-2009 Impact NW/AmeriCorps member, Karla Powell.
