The Seattle Public Library offers free beginning computer classes for people with visual impairments who would like to learn how to use computers with text enlargement software. All classes are held at the Central Library,

1000 Fourth Ave.

, Room 3, Level 4.
The classes are free and open to the public. Registration is required. Parking is available at the Central Library in the garage at regular rates. Class descriptions and times are listed below. For more information or to sign up, call 206-386-4690 or e-mail leap@spl.org.

Computer Basics 1, Part 1 – Learn how to use a computer keyboard and mouse and get an introduction to common computer terms and features that benefit people with visual impairments. To register for this class, you must also register for Computer Basics 1, Part 2.

Computer Basics 1, Part 2 – This class will expand on information learned in Computer Basics 1, Part 1. To register for this class, you must also register for Computer Basics 1, Part 1.
1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7

Computer Basics 2, Part 1 – Learn the most common Windows features. This class includes a brief introduction to Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer. To register for this class, you must also register for Computer Basics 2, Part 2.

Computer Basics 2, Part 2 – This class will expand on information learned in Computer Basics 2, Part 1. To register for this class, you must also register for Computer Basics 2, Part 1.

Internet Basics 1, Part 1 – Learn how to use the Internet and how to navigate a Web page. To register for this class, you must also register for Internet Basics 1, Part 2.

Internet Basics 1, Part 2 – This class will expand on information learned in Internet Basics 1, Part 1. To register for this class, you must also register for Internet Basics 1, Part 1.
