Arts Gumbo 2008 opens at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center at 6 p.m.  Wednesday, Aug. 27 with a Free World Music Festival at Columbia Park. Entertainers include Red Eagle Soaring, a local Native American youth performance troupe; International Capoeira Angola Foundation; local group Abr"ce; Adefua Cultural Education Workshop presenting an African dance and drumming workshop for audiences; and Global Heat, combining the best of HipHop, jazz, and funky world beat. Along with a variety of world music, the festival will offer food from the southeastern region of Brazil. Right, The Professor of Global Heat performs gymnastics on tour in Shanghai, China.
