The latest installment of Say Hey, a welcoming gathering for new professionals of color in the area, is set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Self Enhancement Inc., 3920 N. Kerby Ave.


The event is hosted by a group of employers in Oregon and Southwest Washingtonworking together to make sure their workplaces and the communities they serve are able to attract, welcome and retain a diverse workforce. The quarterly event brings together professionals new to the area with a more established "welcoming brigade."


Attendees include community leaders, corporate and government representatives,community organizations and individuals willing to help make the honorees feel welcome and more connected with their new community.

Say Hey information packets are given to each person attending the event. The packets contain information, opportunities to learn about the community and goodies. Contact Nakashima if your organization would like to include something in the packet.
