Christeen Octavia (Wilbourn/Hunter) Moore was born to the marriage of Beverly and Nathaniel Wilbourn on May 24, 1973, in Portland. She died on Jan. 4, 2006.

She attended many elementary and middle schools over the years, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1990.
In 1976, her mother, Beverly, married Charles Hunter, and they considered it a blessing to be able to help raise Christeen along with her father, Nathaniel. Hunter told her numerous times how she was such a wonderful daughter who never gave him any problems. Christeen was precious to him.

When Christeen and her mother were seen together, people would think that they were sisters. Christeen loved plants and could make anything grow that was green.

Christeen was loved, respected and cherished by many. Her cousin Candice Boswell always saw the beauty inside of Christeen and will miss their times together.

Christeen met Howard Moore in 1997 and married him in February 2001. His family embraced her. They saw the beauty in Christeen's entire being. They saw the glow in Howard's life because of Christeen's genuine, sincere overwhelming and caring heart. He knew — and all knew — he had found his soul mate. They both shared unconditional love and concern for each other.

To the union of Christeen and Howard was born a beautiful daughter, Abiona, joining her first daughter, Genna Marie Kelley. She was happy now that she had two beautiful daughters. She was a dedicated and loving mother, whose daughters are well-behaved and well-mannered, reflecting the time and love she devoted to them.

"A family that prays together stays together," Christeen was fond of saying. She knew what she had to do to raise her girls the way in she was raised. Happiness and security was always what she wanted for her girls.

Christeen is survived by her husband, Howard Moore; two daughters, Genna Marie Kelley and Abiona PearlAnn Moore; her mother, Beverly Ann Hunter; her "daddy," Charles Hunter Sr.; her father, Nathaniel Wilbourn; paternal grandparents Zenobia Octavia Green and Nathaniel Wilbourn; brothers Charles W. Hunter Jr. and Michael W. Hunter; sisters Rochelle Searcy and Melissa Swain-O'Neil; and a host of stepchildren, stepsiblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved and will always remember her for being herself with her sparkling smile.
