NOTICE
In accordance with requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation as set forth in 49 CFR Part 26, as amended, King County hereby notifies the public that it is recommending the following Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for applicable construction, professional services and procurement contracts during Federal Fiscal Years 2012, 2013 and 2014, beginning October 1, 2012 and ending September 30, 2014.
Overall DBE Goal of 4.5%
The overall annual race/neutral percentage goal of 4.5% for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation will apply to the following projects for which the King County International Airport receives funds from the FAA:
Residential Airport Noise Remedy Improvement Program
Taxiway Alpha Rehabilitation and Related Work
Construct/Expand/Rehabilitate ARFF Building
Airport Master Plan Update
King County invites written comments from the public on the methods used to establish the DBE goal and on the goal for consideration. The proposed goal and its rationale are available for inspection during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) for 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments will be accepted for forty-five (45) days after the date of first publication. The documents are available for review at and written comments may be sent to:
