Burgerville CEO Jill Taylor is Departing

Vancouver, Wash. – Burgerville CEO Jill Taylor, who has led the 61-year-old company for nearly five years and has been involved in the leadership of the company for more than 20 years, is leaving Burgerville to resume the helm of The Taylor Group Inc., a well-respected coaching and leadership training company.

“For more than 25 years, I have been a member of the Burgerville family, working hard to develop responsible community leaders with purpose and life mission, and to fulfill the company mission of ‘Serve with Love,’ Taylor said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to have served as Burgerville’s CEO. It is the people who have made Burgerville such a great company — our employees, our suppliers and vendors and our guests and communities, all of whom have contributed.”

Under Taylor’s leadership, Burgerville has:

• Increased local food sourcing from 75 to nearly 80 percent.
• Introduced grass-fed and grass-finished beef on the menu in an improved beef program designed to support local ranchers and regenerative agriculture practices.
• Increased plant-based menu choices.
• Built a strong digital platform to support the business moving into new opportunities.
• Launched Localville, Burgerville’s new digital order and rewards platform.
• Navigated a pandemic, a national labor shortage and supply chain disruptions.
• Led the company to sign the nation’s first labor union agreement for a fast-food chain.
• Revamped the Seedlings program for kids’ meals with new, locally grown and bred seeds.
• In 2021, Burgerville received a Most Admired Company award in the food and drink category from the Portland Business Journal.

Taylor’s final day will be January 31, 2022. The Holland Inc plans to name an interim CEO in the near future.
