On Saturday, Feb. 1, from noon to 6 p.m more than 80 Black-owned businesses will gather at The Center for Self Enhancement, 3920 N. Kerby Ave. Portland, for Junction Ave: A Black Owned Business Pop-Up. This family-friendly event will host various local shops and services that span apparel, food and drink, health and wellness, service industries and more.

Also in attendance will be The Numberz Radio Show streaming live throughout the event, and special live performances by DJ Solo and Portland-based recording artist and music producer, I$$A.

“Self Enhancement, Inc. is always excited about opportunities to enrich and invest in our community,” says Libra Forde, COO. “This event is an investment in the Black community and its richness will be shared by all who attend.”

Now in its third year, Junction Ave has become an anticipated kickoff event for Black History Month in the North Portland area. With nearly 1,000 community members in attendance last year, along with this year’s partnership with The Numberz Radio Show, it is predicted that Junction Ave will see its largest turnout yet.

The event is free and open to the public.
