Thirty years ago a small group of people gathered together with the desire to plant a church, to impact North Portland and the community of Kenton.

On Sunday, September 23 at 4:00 p.m. Celebration Tabernacle Church will celebrate their 30-year anniversary with the theme of “The Fulfillment”. The church invites the community to this fellowship gathering to "praise God for all the work He has done for this ministry."

Celebration Tabernacle says its mission is to have the Church be a community resource that continues to grow and reach more people. They provide education in music, health and job training, and encourage entrepreneurial ministries in order to bring more business to support the community.

Celebration Tabernacle was founded by Pastor E. D. Mondainé in 1988 with the vision of creating a church that would effectively impact its community through inclusion, education, and empowerment. As a non-denominational church, it opened its doors with only three members in a small space on Lombard Ave. in North Portland, only blocks from its current location.

Celebration Tabernacle is located at 8131 N Denver Ave., Portland.
