heat advisory has been issued for the Portland metro region through Thursday, July 26, after the National Weather Service forecast suggested temperatures will remain in the mid-90s through the rest of this week. The hottest hours of the day in the Portland area will be between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Multnomah County will continue to open a cooling shelter at its East County building, located at 600 NE 8th St., in Gresham, Tuesday, July 24 through Thursday, July 26, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For information about the cooling center and transportation, contact 2-1-1

Check out the map of air-conditioned library branches, area pools and splash pads. Day centers serving neighbors experiencing homelessness will be open as they are most days of the year.
