Historians Mary Henry and Jacqueline E.A. Lawson will share their work documenting the history of Seattle’s Black community. Learn about Seattle’s Central District as it was in the mid-20th Century, as well as the significant African American leaders who shaped the region.

Presented in partnership with the Black Heritage Society of Washington State.

MOHAI members planning to attend invited to a member-only pre-lecture happy hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with refreshments and light hors d’ouevres.
