The U.S. Postal Service is mailing ballots today for the Jan. 23 special election. Multnomah County voters who do not receive a ballot by Thursday, Jan. 11 should call the county elections office at 503-988-3720.

Additionally, voters can sign up to track ballots with text, email, or voice alerts notifying voters when ballots have been mailed by the county elections office. The alerts indicate whether the ballot has been accepted for counting or whether it requires further action by the voter. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting https://multco.us/elections/track-your-ballot.

A ballot can be sent to the elections office with one first-class stamp or by dropping it off at any official ballot drop site in Oregon. Official ballot drop sites include all Multnomah County Library locations and eight 24-hour official drop sites. The nearest official ballot drop site, can be found online. An auxiliary location in Gresham, the Voting Center Express, will be open from Jan. 8 until Jan. 23 inside the Multnomah County East Building in downtown Gresham.
