Local artists are gathering to celebrate International Sculpture Day in Portland. The event, 3D Alchemy, features Artist Talks by Portland Sculptors: Rob Arps, Olinka Broadfoot, Joseph Cartino, Jennifer Corio, George Heath, Alisa Looney, Carole Murphy, Julian Voss-Andreae. These artists will share their work and the inspiration behind it.

The discussion will also include conversations about emerging technologies in 3D scanning, printing and digital sculpting available in Portland.

The event will also feature the creation of an improvisational movement living sculpture by Creative Dance Portland.

The evening will finish with a dance party featuring DJ Henry - the Art Man. DJ Henry, also known as Henry Frison, resides in the NE Williams neighborhood and is known for his painted portraits and also for spinning Motown and R&B dance music. He helped paint much of the large large mural that used to be located along Vancouver Avenue.

The event is sponsored by Form 3D Foundry, Cobalt Designworks and the non-profit Pacific Northwest Sculptors.
