With the start of a new year, ClarkCounty residents have a new online tool to help them find volunteer opportunities to serve their community.

Volunteerclark.com helps connect county residents with community needs. The website, sponsored by Clark County Environmental Services, is an easy way for volunteers to find environmental projects or other events that best match their interests and abilities.

Upcoming events are listed on the home page. Simply click on Volunteer for an Event to see a complete list of projects and events. Volunteers also can search by location, date, sponsor’s name or keyword.

The website also includes Volunteer for an Organization, where residents can see organizations seeking volunteers.

“This website is handy for county residents who want to devote their time, talents and energy toward improving our community,” said Don Benton, Environmental Services director. “The county is pleased to provide an easy method for residents to find volunteer opportunities on a short- or long-term basis.”

For more information, visit Volunteerclark.com or contact Environmental Services at 360-397-2121 ext. 4352.
