Experimental drug to be tested in individuals who show no signs of disease but who have family history

WASHINGTON (AP) – The research world is set to see a fundamental shift in how scientists hunt ways to ward off the devastation of Alzheimer's disease. One of the most intriguing new methods: testing possible therapies in people who don't yet show many symptoms, before too much of the brain is destroyed.
