Latest Growth Figures Show Europe Is Out of Recession

Germany and France grew their economies more than expected

Gross domestic product across the 17-nation eurozone grew by 0.3 percent in the second quarter, according to official estimates released Wednesday. That's the first time the region has grown since the third quarter of 2011, and compares with a decline of 0.3 percent in the first quarter of 2013.

Trimet Awards $110 Million in Contracts to Disadvantaged Women and Minority Firms

Almost 24 percent of construction jobs on the project went to minority workers

Neil McFarlane, TriMet's general manager said that more than $110 million in contracts have been awarded to 108 firms owned by people of color and women, on the Portland-Milwaukie light rail transit project.
