ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF ISLAND CITY, OREGON WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS - CITY WELL NO. 5 - 2015

City of Island City, Oregon 10605 Island Avenue Island City, Oregon 97850

The City of Island City, Oregon, invites Bids for the construction of the Water System Improvements - City Well No. 5 - 2015 Project.  The well will be drilled to an estimated depth of 500 feet in alluvial formations.  The upper ±250 feet of casing will be 18 inches with grout seal.  The lower ±250 feet of the well will have a 16-inch temporary casing with a permanent 10-inch casing/screen with filter pack. The Contract time for this Project is 100 calendar days.  The Notice to Proceed with Work is anticipated to be issued within one month of the Notice of Award.

Sealed Bids for the described Project will be received by the City of Island City, at City Hall, located at 10605 Island Avenue, Island City, Oregon 97850, until 2:00 p.m., local time, April 8, 2015, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law.

This Project is being funded in part through USDA Rural Development.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Anderson Perry & Associates, Inc., David W. Wildman, P.E., 1901 N. Fir Street, La Grande, Oregon 97850, 541-963-8309, dwildman@andersonperry.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Birch Street, Walla Walla, Washington                 Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office upon non-refundable payment of $100.00 per paper set.  Alternatively, the Contractor may request a paper copy of the Bidder's Packet and a CD containing a printable pdf version of the Contract Documents and Drawings for $25.00.  Only a Bidder's Packet obtained from the Engineer shall be used for bidding purposes.  The Contractor shall provide his/her mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address when Contract Documents are requested.  The Contractor shall also identify him/herself as a prime contractor, subcontractor, supplier, etc., as applicable.  The Contract Documents will be available after March 23, 2015.
