CITY OF PORTLANDSEEKS HEARINGS OFFICER FOR CONTRACT WORK
The City of Portland seeks to hire an independent hearings officer under a professional services contract to preside over a potentially complex tax enforcement administrative proceeding commencing in the first half of 2012. A successful candidate must be member of the Oregon State Bar, should have substantial experience in complex litigation, from discovery through trial, as well as demonstrated expertise in the proper interpretation and application of statutes. Expertise in tax law may be helpful, but is not required. Those with judicial or quasi-judicial experience are especially encouraged to apply. The City will issue a professional services contract for the work, with compensation commensurate with the contractor’s experience. Deadline to apply Februrary 20, 2012.
